Another house fire in Northwest Harris County has claimed the life of a homeowner.

AnĀ  man was killed early this morning when a fire raced through his northwest Harris County home.

The one-alarm blaze broke out at the house in the 12000 block of Tiltrum near Chippewa about 1 a.m. according to Wesley Cole, chief of the Northwest Volunteer Fire Department. Firefighters doused the flames about 2:30 a.m.

Cole said firefighters found the man, who has not been identified, dead inside the home. No other injuries were reported.

The home was completed engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived. After firefighters gained the upper hand on the blaze, they went inside the house and found the man dead in the bathroom, Cole said. The man apparently lived in the house alone, Cole added.
