Eight people were injured when a powerful tornado touched down in Weimar, Texas, about 88 miles west of Houston. The tornado ripped a roof off of a school building and damaged Weimar High School's scoreboard. Witnesses said that the tornado also knocked a train off of it tracks and caused widespread windstorm damage in Colorado County.
